Google Maps launches a new feature to facilitate user mobility

Google Maps is an application that stands out because it is always reinventing itself. In recent months we have seen how it has implemented new functions to facilitate the mobility of users, for example, allowing users to know when public transport is very crowded and where they can get scooters and  rental bicycles . Now, a new significant change has come to the platform, the new section " Your Transit" .

«Your Transit» is a new tool that allows the creation of quick access so that users can register their preferred transport methods. In general, it is a function that allows users to have at hand all the information about the means of transport they use regularly.

For example, those who have to travel daily on a specific route to get to their office, school, market, shopping center, or any place they visit constantly, High Paying Entry Level Jobs can save the means of transport they use to move in the application, and with just One click to access relevant information about the route such as how much is left for the next bus to pass or at what time it will circulate. The user can thus forget the cumbersome task of having to enter the application daily to plan their trajectory.

It is important to note that at the moment the «Your transit» function is only limited to planning bus routes, although it is possible that in the future the platform will accept other forms of transport such as metro, taxis or Uber.

To access this new feature, the user must enter Google Maps, click on the options menu located on the left side of the application and select <Your Transit>. There the user can choose the public transport that he wants to mark, then define the route he wants to save and finally, mark it in his favorite list.

NAVIGATION REORGANIZATION
On the other hand, the company has also reformed the notifications of the platform and thus presents a more organized version for users, solving a problem of chaos in the interface that the company had noticed that it had and about which many users had already complained .

In this latest version, notifications have been divided into six categories, instead of nine. The categories were previously classified as: Traffic, Commute, Transit, Navigation, Your Contributions, People and Places, Offline Maps, New On Maps, and Group Planing. Now they will only become: Getting around, Your reviews, Google, Recommendations for you, Q and A and messages and Your Business.

Although these updates have already been released in the United States, there are regions of the planet where the changes will take a little longer to arrive. Of course, it is important that users have the latest version of Google Maps installed to enjoy the new features that are coming to the application.
